A man was shot Tuesday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 31-year-old was shot about 10 p.m. as he stood on the sidewalk in the 10500 block of South Aberdeen, Chicago Police said.

Someone fired at him from the gangway of a building and he was struck in both legs, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
