Oakton Street will be fully closed until next week at the crossing with Metra tracks in north suburban Morton Grove.

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Friday that Oakton was closed at the tracks and would remain closed until Aug. 25 for repairs to the grade crossing.

Posted detours will reroute traffic via Caldwell Street, Howard Street and Gross Point Road, IDOT said.
