A woman died after her throat was cut Wednesday afternoon in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.

Robin Olsen, 50, was found with her throat slit about 4:20 p.m. on the back porch of a home in the 1200 block of North Kildare Avenue in West Humboldt Park, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Witnesses told investigators they heard the woman fighting with someone inside her apartment before she was found.

Olsen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she died, police said. She lived in the neighborhood.

Detectives were conducting a homicide investigation, according to police. No one was in custody.

Another woman was killed in the same manner Wednesday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side. Police have not established a connection between the slayings.
