A man who was struck by a CTA Red Line train Sunday morning at the Grand station on the Near North Side has died.
Ricardo D. Quiroz, 24, of Rogers Park, was struck by the train at 8:01 a.m. at the Red Line station at 521 N. State St., according to Chicago Police, Chicago Fire Media Affairs and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
He was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
The train’s conductor, a 33-year-old man, was taken to also taken to Northwestern, where he was set to undergo a psychological evaluation, according to Chicago Fire Media Affairs.
