A man was seriously wounded Wednesday evening in a Lawndale neighborhood shooting on the Southwest Side.

The 37-year-old was shot in the abdomen just before 7 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Lawndale Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

Paramedics took him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
