A 33-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon during a drive-by attack in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The man was walking about 3:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of West 58th Street when a gray Pontiac Grand Prix pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was struck in the buttocks and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
