A man was shot Monday evening in a Brighton Park neighborhood backyard on the Southwest Side.

The 22-year-old was standing in the yard about 8:15 p.m. when two people ran in and opened fire in the 4000 block of South Albany, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
