Moon Alert

After 6:30 p.m. Chicago time, avoid shopping and big decisions.. The moon is in Gemini.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Today you feel confined, cornered or restricted by an authority figure — a parent, boss, teacher or the police. This is not how you want to feel. Do not lash out blindly or speak without thinking. Figure out what’s happening. Maybe you overlooked something?

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Today your spirits might be dampened a bit because you feel guilty that you’re not living up to some kind of standard. Perhaps certain rules, religious or cultural, are restricting you from doing what you want? Perhaps a teacher is critical of you? Don’t worry — this is brief. Relax.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You might be worried about getting your fair share of something. You feel overlooked or unfairly treated. Perhaps you feel you have to accept too much responsibility? Whatever it is, this is brief. Tomorrow is a better day.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a poor day to ask for permission or approval from parents, bosses, teachers and authority figures because their response will likely be, “Talk to the hand.” When it comes to finagling favors, timing is everything. Always choose after lunch when people feel satisfied.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Travel restrictions might be disappointing today. Likewise, news related to publishing, the media, medicine and the law might discourage you. Don’t let this get you down. Tomorrow is a different day! Expect some surprises. Do not push your luck regarding legal matters.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You might be disappointed by your fair share of something or how much money is left in the bank or what someone else does or does not do for you. It happens. Do not dwell on this because this passes quickly and tomorrow is an interesting day! (You might travel.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Relations with partners and close friends might be a bit strained today. You feel reserved and so do they. Don’t take this to heart and do not resent anyone else because everyone in the world feels this way today. As they say in “The Godfather,” “This isn’t personal.”

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Relations with co-workers as well as customers might be a bit testy today. This simply means you have to be accommodating, patient and more understanding when dealing with others. If people act withdrawn and a bit unfriendly, it’s just the vibes today. It’s not you.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Romance might be disappointing today because it’s a struggle. Both parties cannot speak freely; furthermore, they likely will not demonstrate affection. Generally, a hug can fix a lot; but today nobody is in a hugging mood. In addition, children might be an increased responsibility. Of course, that just goes with the territory, doesn’t it?

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Relations with family members are a bit strained today. In particular, relations with parents and older relatives might be severe or subdued. This does not mean that anyone is disappointed in you or vice versa. Chalk it up to it being the flavor of the day. It’s called “Sour Lemon.”

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Today duties and responsibilities are foremost in your mind. Your approach to things will not be frivolous. Au contraire! Discussions with others will be serious and your day will be full of errands, serious exchanges and working tasks.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Things might be a bit tight financially speaking today. (Why is there always so much month left at the end of the money?) Just cope as best you can knowing that today everyone is discouraged and more serious about whatever they’re doing. At least you can focus on being productive.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Comedian Aidy Bryant (1987) shares your birthday today. You are compassionate and will often put the needs of others before your own. Service to others is your theme this year in terms of responsibilities to family as well as to yourself. Therefore, take care of yourself so that you are a strong resource. Invest in the relationships that you value. Tap into your personal creativity and hobbies.
