1 killed in Gary shooting

A male was found shot in the 2700 block of West 5th Avenue and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A person was killed in a shooting Sunday in Gary, Indiana.

Officers responded about 5 p.m. to the 2700 block of West 5th Avenue and found a male with gunshot wounds, Gary police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lake County coroner’s office, police said.

No arrests have been reported.
