A 39-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Sunday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

He was shot multiple times just after 7 p.m. in the 7200 block of South Phillips, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
