A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday evening in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 26-year-old was standing on a sidewalk about 8:50 p.m. in the 11100 block of South Union when someone approached him and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was struck in his leg and groin area, police said. He was taken to a Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized.
