Two people were shot in the Lawndale neighborhood early Sunday on the Southwest Side.

At 2:36 a.m., the 21-year-old woman and 24-year-old man were standing near a car parked in the 2200 block of South Kolin when a male in black clothing walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The woman was shot in the right arm and the man in the left shoulder, police said.

Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions stabilized, police said.
