Police are warning residents about a pair of armed robberies reported earlier this month in the Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side.

In each incident, one or two males approached the victims brandishing a handgun and demanded their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The first robbery occurred about 10:20 p.m. Dec. 3 in the 4300 block of South Wallace, police said. The second occurred about the same time on Dec. 13 a block away in the 4400 block of South Wallace.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
