A bank was robbed Friday afternoon in southwest suburban Tinley Park.

The non-takeover robbery happened at 2:58 p.m. at the Chase Bank branch at 17151 S. Harlem Ave., according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 black male with a thin build and a short, clean beard, according to the FBI. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt and black shorts.

He was last seen running away north, authorities said.

A reward was being offered for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information was asked to call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
