A teenager was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 4 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired and found 17-year-old Ke’Nichi Sims shot in the body and head in a vacant lot in the 7100 block of South Eggleston, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
