A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 3:50 p.m. when someone walked up to the 35-year-old man in the 600 block of North Leamington Avenue and opened fired, Chicago Police said.

The victim was transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
