Timothy P. McGuire, 37, was driving about 9:50 p.m. when his vehicle hit another vehicle near 167th Street and 80th Avenue, according to a statement from Tinley Park police.

A passenger in the second vehicle, Armida Reyes of Tinley Park, suffered multiple injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:14 p.m., police and the medical examiner’s office said. Her death was ruled an accident.

McGuire and two other occupants of the car Reyes was in were taken to hospitals and later released, police said.

McGuire, who also lives in Tinley Park, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated involving a death, driving while intoxicated and driving without insurance, police said.

Judge Michael Joseph Kane set McGuire’s bail at $175,000 during a hearing Tuesday at the Bridgeview Courthouse, according to Cook County court records. His next court date was scheduled for April 9.
