3 wounded, 1 critically in Austin shooting

Two men and a woman were standing in the 5600 block of West Potomac Avenue when someone opened fire from a nearby alley.

Three people were wounded — one critically — in a shooting Sunday in Austin on the West Side.

About 3:52 a.m., they were standing outside of a vehicle in the 5600 block of West Potomac Avenue when two males emerged from an alley and opened fire, Chicago police said.

A woman, 21, was hit multiple times in the arm and grazed in the head, police said. She is in critical condition and will be transferred to Stroger Hospital from West Suburban Medical Center.

Two men, 22 and 23, were shot in the leg and taken to West Suburban Medical Center, police said. Their conditions were stabilized.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives are investigating.
