Teen boy shot in Englewood

He was shot in the chest and torso about 2:15 a.m., in the 7100 block of South Union Avenue.

At least 14 people were shot across Chicago over the first night of the weekend.

A 16-year-old boy was shot Wednesday in Englewood on the South Side.

About 2:15 a.m., he was walking in the 7100 block of South Union Avenue, when he heard shots and felt a pain, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the chest, torso, and was taken to University of Chicago University in serious condition, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
