Man shot dead in South Shore

A 26-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday in South Shore.

He was sitting in a car about 1:05 p.m. in the 2000 block of East 70th Street when someone in another vehicle got out and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The man was hit in the chest and pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

He was identified as Anthony McMillen II, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
