A man was killed in a shooting Monday in East Garfield Park on the West Side.

The 30-year-old was walking at 4:18 a.m. in the 100 block of South Washtenaw Avenue when someone in the alley fired shots, according to Chicago police.

He was hit in the neck and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Lincoln Scott of South Shore.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
