A woman accidentally shot herself Thursday morning in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.

Shortly after 11 a.m., the 22-year-old was involved in a domestic argument at an apartment in the 7400 block of South Langley when she went to get a gun from another room and the gun discharged, striking her in the hand, Chicago police said.

She was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
