A man was shot to death Saturday evening in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.

Mauricio Rivera, 47, was sitting in a parked vehicle about 5:25 p.m. when someone wearing dark clothing walked up to the driver’s side door and fired multiple rounds into the vehicle in the 1500 block of North Western Avenue, police said.

Rivera was struck multiple times in the head and chest, police said. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:34 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
