Man fatally shot while sitting in car in East Garfield Park

He was in the 3400 block of West Walnut Street when another car pulled up and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.

A man was shot and killed while sitting in a car in East Garfield Park Monday.

Another car pulled up and someone inside shot the 23-year-old about 3:40 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Walnut Street, Chicago police said.

Tabari S. Harris Jr. was struck in the neck and back, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one was in custody.
