Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or important decisions after 10 a.m. Chicago time. The moon is in Gemini.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a squirrelly day because it’s a Moon Alert. If you’re taking a short trip, you might encounter a detour or delays, or the trip might even be canceled. Give yourself extra time to complete your plans today because everything is nebulous and unreliable.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Do be careful today because the moon is in your Money Houses, which makes you want to shop or make financial decisions. However, once the Moon Alert begins (see above) this is not a good idea. Be wise and restrict your spending to food, gas and entertainment. (That’s not too shabby.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Today the moon is in your sign, but it’s a Moon Alert, which makes you feel a bit indecisive and vague. Don’t worry about this. Kick back and relax. Make no demands on yourself today. Enjoy an easygoing time and pamper yourself with something delicious.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

It will please you to seek out some peace and quiet so that you can contemplate life and enjoy the solace of today in beautiful surroundings (preferably with food service). For some of you, your home will offer this peace and quiet. (But not for all!)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is the perfect day to have a heart-to-heart talk with a female acquaintance, a friend or a member of a group. You’re willing to be frank and genuine in sharing ideas and confidences. You might even encourage each other to consider different goals. Tip: Agree to nothing important.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Personal details about your private life seem to be somewhat public. Nevertheless, do not worry. In a Moon Alert, whatever we initiate tends to come to nothing. It floats off into the ether, never to be seen again.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You might be attracted to someone who is “different” today. Likewise, you might be attracted to the arts and crafts of other cultures and different countries. If you can travel, you will love it. However, it’s a poor day to spend your money on anything other than gas, food and entertainment.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Resist the urge to agree to important matters or decisions regarding inheritances, taxes, debt, insurance and shared property. Your mind will focus on these topics; nevertheless, get your data and postpone these decisions until tomorrow.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Because the moon today is in a sign that is 180 degrees opposite from your sign, you have to go more than halfway when dealing with others. You have to be accommodating and cooperative. This is not a problem. But do not volunteer for anything or agree to anything important.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

In whatever tasks that you set for yourself today, or whatever work you are doing, expect delays, shortages and an element of confusion. Knowing this ahead of time, cut yourself some slack. And cut others some slack, as well.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a fabulous, creative day for you! Write down your original ideas. Visit museums, art galleries and explore creative urges. This is a wonderful day to socialize extensively. Enjoy meeting friends and hooking up with groups because you want to have fun!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is the perfect day to cocoon at home and relax among familiar surroundings. Do whatever you can to pamper yourself. Fresh flowers, something wonderful to drink and eat. You might choose privacy or you might want to share the day with someone.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Eric Stoltz (1961) shares your birthday today. You are generous, sociable, imaginative and creative. People are attracted to you because you are witty and charming. It’s time to embrace change and new opportunities. Expect excitement and stimulation! Get opportunities ready to act fast. Make personal freedom one of your goals this year. Enjoy travel and chances to expand your horizons. Enjoy this fast-paced year!
